The Weekly [not so] Skinny: Summer Tomatoes at The Beehive

Hellooo Summer, how ya doin? Yup, that’s July on a plate right there.

Look at me making healthy choices. Except, of course, that the part of this Summer Salad I enjoyed most was the white impostor in the middle there that’s reminiscent of… yea, that’s cheese. Herbed Ricotta to be exact, and it was creamy and delicious. As was the parsley pesto, fried zucchini, and tomatoes themselves, so.. everything.

The Beehive, 541 Tremont St in the South End, has so much more to offer than vegetables and cheese, but I was blown away by how punchy (in the best way) they managed to make this otherwise not so exciting option. The Beehive’s classy patio provided us a pleasant escape from the everyday, and the cocktails, well, did the same. From the variety of creative twists on normal cocktails to their sipability, they were fantastic. We tried the Sangria $8.50 and Tokyo Rose Bubbly $12.50. I forbid you to eat here without one of those, in fact. The only thing less than perfect was the price. And of course, I’ll be back for their famed Jazz Brunch!
